– A soldier was reportedly saved by the militants in the Niger Delta region
– The photos shows a group of people wearing life vests with one of them pulling a person out of the water
The photo was captioned ”A soldier being rescued from drowning by same people he was asked to come and kill in the Niger delta region.”
The details of the story remain sketchy, as the location where the photo was taken is unknown as well as it remains unclear what exactly is going on the photo.
Recall that earlier this week the militants have ridiculed the operation “Crocodile Smile” launched by the Nigerian army in a bid to end attacks on oil and gas facilities in the area.
The avengers also blamed the soldiers for harassing old men, women and innocent youths in the region under the guise of hunting for militants. During the operation soldiers practice in amphibious and internal security operations in riverine environment, check criminal activities like kidnapping, militancy and piracy and other forms of criminal activities as well as provide free medical service to locals.
