Fowler Confident In Klopp On Liverpool's Champions League Campaign

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler is confident that Jurgen Klopp can guide the club to a finish in the Premier League’s top four.
Klopp’s side have made an impressive start to the campaign and currently sit just two points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
The Reds last appeared in the Champions League during the 2014-15 season, and Fowler believes they are well on their way to securing a place in Europe’s elite competition under the former Borussia Dortmund boss.
“Liverpool should always have ambitions to finish as high up in the table as possible,” Fowler told Sport360. “We always want to finish in the Champions League places.
“It hasn’t really happened a few times in the past years for various reasons but I certainly think with the players we’ve got and the manager, we can do it. I’m confident that Liverpool will finish in the top four, anything beyond that would be a massive bonus.”
Liverpool have already scored 26 goals in all competitions this season, with 10 players contributing to the overall tally.Fowler also praised the playing style of the team since Klopp succeeded Brendan Rodgers at Anfield just over a year ago.
Fowler singled out summer signing Sadio Made for particular praise, with the Senegal international settling into life on Merseyside quickly since his £30 million move from Southampton.
“They’re a joy to watch at the minute,” Fowler added. “They’re exciting, everyone’s scoring goals. They’ve had some great results. But I don’t think anyone associated with the club will be getting carried away. We all know there’s a long way to go but it’s exciting times.
“Klopp’s bringing out the very best of the players. They’ve all chipped in with goals. [Philippe] Coutinho’s played well, [Daniel] Sturridge, when he’s played, has been a handful. The standout performer has been Mane. Hopefully, he’ll be the man to take us further up in the league.”
