Despite the 1-1 draw against Ghana in the second group B game at the Africa Women Cup of Nation, Nigeria’s Super Falcons and defending Champions of the Tournament are still the team to beat according to former national team Coach, Rolandson Odey.
Nigeria won their first game 6-0 against Mali but were held 1-1 by Ghana after Black Queen’s Elizabeth Addo canceled Asisat Oshoala’s opener, with a well taken penalty.
Only Cameroon have a better defensive record at the tournament. The Falcons have lead the goal scoring chart on a team and individual player’s level , but Wednesday’s penalty against Ghana meant the Lionesses now have the best defensive record at the tourney.
