The President of the Nasrullah-l-Fathi Society of Nigeria
(NASFAT), Alhaji Kamil Bolarinwa, has advised Nigerian pilgrims to pray
for the country during their stay in the holy land.
He told journalists in Makkah, Saudi Arabia that: “Any pilgrim here
from Nigeria, I expect that anytime they supplicate to Almighty Allah,
their first line of prayer should be for Nigeria.
“If you don’t have a good country, we can’t have a good sun. If your
country is not prospering, you cannot prosper. If your country is not
healthy economically, you cannot be healthy economically. So, I expect
every Nigerian, even those that are here in spirit, to pray first for
Nigeria’s economic well-being.”
Also, the National Missioner of NASFAT, Alhaji Abdullahi Akinbode, said Nigeria should return to the path of Allah.
A National Women Leader of the organisation, Alhaja Nofisat
Arogundade urged the government not to relent in its anti-corruption
crusade.
She said: “Corruption should be eradicated in Nigeria. There is
divine intervention with President Mohammadu Buhari as president and I
believe that change will surely come.
“We all know there is always resistance to change. Those that are
used to looting, to doing things their own way, would want to resist
but, surely, God will manifest His power in Nigeria. We have enjoined
every Muslim, all of us on pilgrimage and all Nigerians, to continue to
pray to Allah to give him (Buhari) the necessary guidance and the
strength to achieve his aims for the country.”
