The Dangote Group has promised to support the federal and Kano state governments in exploring key sectors of the economy as Nigeria continues to battle the effects of recession.

In a statement signed by the chief corporate communication officer, Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina, the group promised to explore opportunities opening up in agriculture, mining and infrastructure through partnership with the governments.
Leadership reports that the executive director, commercial, DFM, Hajiya Halima Dangote also gave the indication while speaking at the Dangote Special Day ceremony at the Kano International Trade Fair recently.
Halima who represented the president/chief executive of the group, Aliko Dangote, said challenges of the recession have rather presented opportunities to explore areas of development and bring back lost glory of Nigeria’s economy.
She said it is such determination that informed the re-opening of Dangote flour mill in Kano as well as the Tomato factory processing project also in the state.
She reiterated efforts by the Dangote Group in ensuring sustainability in rice production through extensive out grower program in Jigawa state.
