Arsenal and PSG are top of Group A with 10 points each, going into Wednesday’s second meeting, which could have a bearing on which team finishes in first place.
But PSG would have to play their Wednesday encounter without the services of their reliable and dangerous right back, Serge Aurier.
The Cot d’Ivoire international has had his Tier 2 entry visa into the UK revoked because he was given a two-month suspended prison sentence in September for assaulting a police officer outside a night-club in France.
Aurier was issued a visa in October but the UK Home Office revoked it on 16 November, on grounds of the conviction, even though the defender has filed an appeal to overturn the conviction.
A statement by the Home Office said: “The immigration rules clearly state that non-EU nationals who have received a custodial sentence of less than 12 months within the last five years will be refused on criminality grounds.”
But PSG believe that their player has not been treated fairly. “Paris Saint-Germain strongly regrets that the presumption of innocence has not influenced Britain's decision," said the French champions in a statement.
“On several occasions, Uefa has also transmitted its total support of Paris Saint-Germain to the British authorities regarding this case, in order to preserve the integrity of its competitions.”
