Government Commission Joins in Trolling MMM

The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has joined in trolling Ponzi scheme MMM after it announced it was freezing operations in December today, Tuesday, December 13, 2016.

Desperate Nigerians have been agitated all day long, scared that they are about to lose their money. Some of these Nigerians have reached out to the EFCC and questioned the commission's role in stop such Ponzi scams.
Twitter user Lolami_Boo tweeted at the EFCC. "Where the hell was @officialEFCC ?? Isn't it your job to stop crap like this???"
The EFCC replied her saying, "You mean amongst the plethora of venality we fight daily? Ponzi schemes aren't sustainable. There were a number of warnings."
After the reply, EFCC has already reacted to the news of MMM freezing its operations.
"If it looks or sounds too good to be true, it almost always is. Do NOT patronize wonder banks. Protect yourself. #DontDoIt" EFCC tweeted.
The drama did not stop there as another Twitter user tweeted "Even ur people, their spouses or sibs participated in it."
EFCC used this tweet to troll MMM and the people who have invested in it. "Brav ... no wait ... MAVRO to them" tweeted the commission.
In November, members of the House of Reps ordered EFCC to shut down MMM.

The House supported the notion that the promoters of the scheme are waiting for more Nigerians to invest their money before absconding.
The House of Representatives asked the committees on Banking/Currency and Financial Crimes to thoroughly investigate MMM.
